"I started this journey because I wanted to be better with my food choices, not only for myself but for my family. I wanted to be a better at preventing any family health problems that run in my family. I wanted to learn self-control with food especially with any future pregnancies. Knowing I have high blood pressure and having toxemia during my first pregnancy, I know that there are changes I needed to make. I wanted to have an open mind while starting this journey, even if I didn't agree with what I read or may have heard. Sometimes I had to listen to or read something twice to really understand it. I was recently asked, "When is your diet over?" I said it's not, this is something I will be doing my whole life. Even if I didn't feel successful today, does not mean that I will stop trying for tomorrow. Not only will I keep fighting for my family, but for myself.
